Child Developmental Monitoring
Monitoring your child’s development, family coaching, community education
Developmental Screenings
Developmental screenings are free, 90-minute check-ins that help families understand how their child is growing and learning in areas like communication, movement, and social-emotional skills. Using trusted tools such as the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and ASQ:SE, our Ayllu Hogar team partners with families to identify strengths and areas needing extra support. Screenings can take place in the comfort of your home or at the Manos Unidas International office in Kenmore, and results help connect families to early intervention and community resources when needed.
Family Coaching and Followup
After each screening, our team provides and models personalized strategies and practical tips to support your child’s growth at home. Families receive coaching on ways to encourage communication, play, and daily routines that build on their child’s strengths. Follow-up screenings can be scheduled every three months or as needed, and our team stays in touch to track progress, answer questions, and connect families with additional resources or supports along the way.

Culturally Rooted and Bilingual
Screenings are provided entirely in Spanish and are grounded in culturally responsive practices led by native practitioners. Our team honors each family’s culture, language, history, and lived experience, ensuring that services are both respectful and meaningful within the family’s environment and traditions. With each screening, we also provide connections to community resources, personalized recommendations, and considerations to help families continue supporting their child’s development beyond the visit.
Community Education
Manos Unidas promotes the importance of developmental screenings and milestone tracking through community education workshops and partnerships with organizations serving Latino families with young children. These workshops (see our calendar for dates) help families understand how children grow, learn, and communicate—empowering them to identify concerns early, access support, and build confidence in fostering their child’s healthy development.
Are you an organization serving latino children in King County? Contact us to set up a Community Workshop and Universal Developmental screenings for your families!
An Invitation to Every Family
Requesting a developmental screening is an opportunity to learn more about your child’s growth and development—and to discover new ways to support their success. All children between the ages of 0 and 5 are encouraged to participate, regardless of developmental history!
