Manos Unidas Promotoras Attend Statewide Retreat in Ellensburg

This past month, the promotoras of Manos Unidas participated in an inspiring two-day overnight retreat in Ellensburg, Washington, hosted by the Moses Lake Community Health Center. Conducted entirely in Spanish, this statewide gathering brought together Hispanic promotoras from Central, Eastern, and Western Washington dedicated to advancing health education in their communities. Through interactive workshops and collaborative discussions with regional partner organizations, our team exchanged valuable outreach strategies and deepened their expertise in culturally responsive care.

Beyond the educational sessions, the retreat provided a well-deserved space for rest, reflection, and community building. Taking a meaningful step back from the daily responsibilities of work and motherhood, our team enjoyed fresh forest air, shared stories, and celebrated around the campfire. The team returned to North King County with renewed energy, stronger statewide connections, and an even deeper commitment to the families they support every day.
