Manos Unidas newest program, Ayllu Hogar, funded by Best Starts for Kids, offers free relationship-based support to families with children 0-5 years old with suspected developmental delay and/or a disability diagnosis in North King County, WA.
Through home based visits, our Promotoras Comunitarias accompany and mentor families with supports related to their child with a disability or developmental delay. Our goal is to create safe access points to connect families to community information and resources.
We opened enrollment on March 1, 2024 and have actively enrolled several families to date. We are thrilled to bring this innovative program to life!
Our promotoras are working hard to promote the program in the community, forming partnerships with organizations who serve Latino families in a variety of capacities.
